Why You Should Attend

Digital Health Week NZ is the premier digital health event in New Zealand, completely focused on data and digital technologies for health and disability systems.

Digital Health Week conferences average 1200+ delegates, 230+ speakers, 100+ exhibitors and multiple topic streams!

Keynote speakers include:

  • VIRTUAL PRESENTATION | Dr Shane Reti, Minister of Health and Minister for Pacific Peoples
  • IN-PERSON PRESENTATION | Dr Khulood Alsayegh, Dubai Health Authority

The event is only held once a year and it brings together the sharpest minds, the brightest ideas and all the key players within the digital health sector. Delegates include clinicians, IT professionals, health sector managers, government, industry, academics, students, and other NGOs.  Digital Health Week NZ builds and strengthens connections between these groups and encourages the sharing of the latest and best ideas across the sector.

The event will open your eyes to the successful innovative digital health projects and the transformational changes occurring across the health sector, including those being implemented by Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora as mentioned by Leigh Donoghue, chief data and digital at the Digital Health Association’s 21st Birthday Parliamentary event on 22 August 2023 in Wellington, where he said "the new national structure of Te Whatu Ora is a ‘game changer’ and data and digital is looking to address these issues to optimise its investment and make the case for wider investment."

Our conference will feature an exhibition hall, presentations, and workshops designed to inspire and educate. Don't miss out on this chance to be a part of Aotearoa’s digital health transformation.

There are a variety of pre-conference workshops being held on 2-3 December which will give you an opportunity to collaborate and share experiences, update your knowledge base, identify good practice and be inspired!  These workshops and meetings will include:

  • Connectathon (two-day event) - 2+3 December 2024
  • eHealth Nursing & Midwifery - 3 December 2024
  • eAllied Health - 3 December 2024
  • AI in Health - 3 December 2024

Right now, the health system is being transformed - come along and learn all about it. Meet the people who will be working within the health system. Be a part of the solution, rather than just hearing about it. Influence current thinking and reduce duplication of resource and effort. Encourage collaboration, reuse and sustainability of resources.
