Dr Bradford is a Tauranga-based General Practitioner and partner at 5th Avenue Family Practice, where he has been part of the team since 2013.

Originally trained in Southampton, UK, Dr Bradford moved to New Zealand in 2008. His early work in emergency medicine led him through a broad clinical journey—transitioning via urgent care into Hauora medicine at Ngāti Kahu Hauora, before completing GPEP and settling into general practice at 5th Avenue. Over the years, he has held several key leadership roles, including Chair at the PHO level and Chief Medical Officer for the Bay of Plenty District Health Board.

From April 2023 to July 2025, Dr Bradford served as Medical Director of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (the College), where he was a strong advocate for members and the broader primary care sector. He became a familiar face in national media, regularly providing clinical commentary and updates.

In July 2025, Dr Bradford was appointed President of the College, continuing his commitment to championing general practice and strengthening primary healthcare across Aotearoa New Zealand.
